About

After graduating from Columbia Journalism School in New York City, I began my career as an intern at VTDigger, a non-profit newsroom in Vermont. While there, I co-reported a story on the eviction of homeless people from motels, which won first place in the "General News" category of the New England Newspaper & Press Association. My reporting for VTDigger was also cited in a Washington Post newsletter.

Since then, I have worked as a freelance journalist in the Netherlands, contributing to both a Dutch news agency and a national newspaper. I am drawn to stories across a wide range of topics—an interest reflected in my coverage, which spans from reporting on the Druze community in Israel to conditions in Vermont’s juvenile facilities.

Raised in Europe, I am fluent in English, Dutch, and German, have working proficiency in French, and am currently learning Arabic.
